On July 22, Consul General Zhao Xiuzhen attended the welcome ceremony for Fujian TCM medical delegation hosted by the Davao Medical School Foundation(DMSFI). Atty. Alberto Rafael L. Aportadera, President of the DMSFI, school representatives, and all members of the delegation were in attendance.

In her remarks, Consul General Zhao Xiuzhen stated that China is placing the equal emphasis on both traditional Chinese and Western medicine to leverage their complementary strengths. It supports the inheritance and innovation of TCM, and promotes TCM to go global to contribute Chinese wisdom to global health governance.

Representatives of the DMSFI and the Fujian TCM medical delegation expressed their hope that this exchange would serve as a starting point to strengthen collaboration in TCM education, talent training and scientific research, and further advance in-depth and sustained collaboration in healthcare and medical services between the two sides.
