On June 22, Consul General Zhao Xiuzhen met with Ms. Tanya Rabat-Tan, Regional Director of the Department of Tourism Region XI. Ms. Tanya briefed on the progresses of various initiatives including the region’s cultural and tourism resources, upgrades to supporting infrastructure, the development of distinctive tourism itineraries, the expansion of direct international flightroutes, and policies to facilitate entry visas.

Consul General Zhao Xiuzhen noted that the Davao region is abundant in cultural and tourism resources and boasts a well-developed service system. The Chinese Consulate General in Davao is willing to strengthen cooperation with the Department of Tourism to jointly promote Davao’s distinctive cultural and tourism resources and continue to advance the implementation of bilateral cultural and tourism exchange programs.
