On June 3, Consul General Zhao Xiuzhen attended the Second Annual Peacetival organized by the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos and delivered a speech. Sherrila Porza Sawah, CECE Regional Director; Gabriel F. Nakan, Deputy Mayor of the Davao City Muslim Affairs Office and representatives from related institutions were in attendance.

In her remarks, Consul General Zhao Xiuzhen stated that China has always steadfastly upheld the principles of equality, unity, mutual assistance, harmony, and common development among all ethnic groups. Peace should be built on the foundations of understanding, tolerance, and cooperation, and the benefits of development should be shared by more people.

The Chief of the Socio Economic Development Division presented a certificate of awarding to the Consulate General, expressing gratitude for its active participation in public affairs and its positive contributions to promoting peace and development in the Mindanao region.
