On September 18, Consul General Zhao Xiuzhen attended the opening ceremony of the 27th Davao Agri Trade Expo (DATE) and the 8th Davao Investment Conference (ICON). Together with Philippine Vice President Sara Duterte, representatives from the Davao City Government, as well as members of foreign diplomatic and consular missions in the Philippines, she participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the opening of the events.

    Following the ceremony, Consul General Zhao visited the exhibition booth of New Hope Davao Agriculture Inc. She engaged with the staff to learn about the company's business developments in the Philippines and introduced achievements in China-Philippines agricultural cooperation within Mindanao to Davao city councilors present at the booth.

Organized by the Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, DATE and ICON feature thematic forums, exhibitions, and business matching activities, making them one of the most influential trade events in the Mindanao region.
